The Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment (ACE) announced the shutdown of Streameast, marking one of the biggest victories against sports piracy in recent years.

This massive sports streaming operation involved 80 domains that received over 1.6 billion visits in the past year alone.
While ACE had seized Streameast domains in the past, those efforts were short lived when dozens of new clones emerged shortly after. But now it appears that anti-piracy authorities have finally cut off the head of the ‘Streameast’ snake.
Streameast dominated the illegal streaming market by offering unauthorized access to premium sports content.

The platform streamed matches from Europe’s top soccer leagues, including the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, and Bundesliga. Users could also watch UEFA competitions like the Champions League and major American sports including NFL, NBA, NHL, and MLB games.
Traffic data shows the platform averaged 136 million monthly visits, with users connecting from the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Philippines, and Germany. The network generated millions in revenue through advertising and cryptocurrency payments.
Streameast’s popularity reached such heights that even NBA star LeBron James was caught using Streameast. This one example should tell you everything you need to know about the sports streaming industry…

Fans of the site feared at the time that this high-profile attention would lead to increased scrutiny and eventual shutdown.
Egyptian law enforcement officials arrested two men in El-Sheikh Zaid, located about 20 miles west of Cairo. During the raid, authorities seized laptops, smartphones, cash, and multiple credit cards connected to the operation.
Investigators discovered links to a UAE shell company allegedly used for money laundering. The operation reportedly generated $6.2 million in advertising revenue since 2010, plus an additional $200,000 in cryptocurrency. Multiple Egyptian properties were purchased using these illegal funds.
Charles Rivkin, ACE Chairman and CEO of the Motion Picture Association, called this “a resounding victory” against digital piracy. Ed McCarthy from DAZN Group praised the action, stating that Streameast was “siphoning value from sports at every level.”
The shutdown sends a strong message to other piracy operations. However, the entertainment industry faces an ongoing battle as new sites constantly emerge to fill the void left by shuttered platforms.
After doing our own research, we wanted to find the Streameast domains that were impacted and currently offline since ACE did not list them in the report.
Here is a list of notable domains that we’ve found so far:
Unfortunately for ACE and anti-piracy authorities, a quick Google search led us to this website posting several Streameast domains that are still online.

Despite the successful takedown, there are still several Streameast alternatives and replacement sites that have already appeared online within hours of this news.
Even the infamous Streameast News Network on X (Twitter) posted “we haven’t been shutdown.” Although we’re not sure how much association this social media account has to any official operators.

Reddit users report finding backup domains and alternative platforms using similar names and interfaces.

ACE confirmed they’re investigating these “copycat” sites to determine if they’re connected to the original operation. This highlights the whack-a-mole nature of fighting online piracy.
While the Streameast shutdown represents a significant win for anti-piracy authorities and sports leagues, there’s still one problem – dozens of mirror sites and thousands of other illegal streaming platforms remain active.
The millions spent chasing these operations around the globe could fund more affordable legal alternatives that would actually reduce piracy demand.
Until official sports streaming becomes accessible to average consumers, new illegal platforms will continue emerging to meet market demand despite enforcement efforts.
