The official Stremio App is now available for download on Firestick, Fire TV, and other Fire OS devices via the Amazon App Store.

This update follows the developers’ successful request to remove a fraudulent app that was using the same name and logo in violation of trademark rights.

If you are a Stremio user, you are likely aware of the compatibility it has with just about any device you can think of. This is one of the main reasons so many cord-cutters have opted to install the app for streaming.

However, it was previously unavailable in various App Stores including Amazon (for Firestick/Fire TV) which means users had to sideload the APK file for access.

The latest Stremio update now allows users to simply search for the app on any Fire OS device and install it directly, as shown below.

Unfortunately, there is a strong possibility that Stremio could be removed from the Amazon Appstore in the future, as Amazon has continued to crack down on third-party streaming applications.

Even when apps like Stremio and Kodi are available in official stores such as Google Play, updates are often delayed due to required review and verification processes.
