TorBox is a fairly new debrid service that touts no user logs, low price, and ability to share accounts with family and friends.
You can think of a debrid service as a “middle-man” that downloads files at blazing fast speeds onto their servers and then provides quick retrieval for the customer. These services usually have premium accounts with various file hosters and torrent sites which allows them to download files super fast onto their servers, which users enjoy on the other end. Most people use these services to stream HD 4K movies and TV shows buffer-free. These services can be integrated into popular Kodi addons, Stremio addons, and APKs.
In short, the biggest advantage of using a service like TorBox is to stream 4K & 1080p movies & TV shows without buffering. This is a huge pain-point for those who use free streaming apps as there is constant buffering and video quality is usually lacking.
TorBox is a welcome addition to the debrid world due to the fact that there are only two other major players as of now. The most popular is Real-Debrid with many users leaving them after a temporary legal interruption that required them to change the way that they deliver files. During that time they threatened a disgruntled user that they were going to share his streaming logs with copyright holders. This unprofessional business approach turned a lot of customers away. According to TorBox they don’t store any user logs so this would never happen with them. The other choice is Premiumize and the biggest complaint about that service is the high price which is $79.99 for their annual plan. By the way, the equivalent plan for TorBox is only $36 for 12 months (also coupon code available below).
This TorBox review will provide important information about the service while also offering helpful tutorials along the way. I strongly suggest watching all of the videos on this page to get the most out of this inexpensive service.
There are multiple use-cases for TorBox but I will be focusing on what most TROYPOINT fans want and that’s integration with addons for both Stremio and Kodi.

TorBox registration is straight-forward and the first thing that you need to do is create an account on their website.

Some may get confused on their pricing plans and you must understand that most of the benefits outlined have to do with using TorBox as a download service. The concurrent slots and max download sizes pertain to downloading which most TROYPOINT fans aren’t doing.
I tested both the Essential and Pro plans. The Pro plan is for those who want access to Usenet downloads/streaming and I personally don’t see any benefit from that. The Essential plan provides plenty of links for movies and TV shows without the extra cost.
If you’re going to use TorBox for streaming media files through Kodi, Stremio, etc. I suggest purchasing the Essential plan.
As mentioned earlier, we see how some of these questionable third parties treat their customers and that’s why I always take extra precaution when purchasing through these services. This is a personal preference and you can do whatever you feel comfortable with. I would never suggest inputting a credit card into one of these websites. If you aren’t going to pay with Bitcoin I would recommend using PayPal or another middle-man to process the payment. Don’t give them access to your credit card.
Before going to the TorBox Website I first enabled Surfshark VPN on the device I was using so they can’t record my IP Address when I sign-up. I then paid for my subscription with Bitcoin through my Coinbase account. The less personal information I provide to them, the better, in my opinion.

If you choose to pay with anything other than cryptocurrency you may be presented with an error such as this if you are using Incognito mode in your browser. You may also receive an IP Address is not valid error if using a VPN as well. If you purchase with Bitcoin as I show in my video above you don’t have to worry about any of this and you can keep your VPN activated for privacy while registering.
One of the first things I suggest doing after creating your account is to set the proper CDN location for your downloads.
This tool can be found under Settings/Integration Settings/CDN Selection. You will find a speedtest link that will indicate what CDN you should choose based on the results. If you’re using Surfshark VPN be sure to note which server you’re connected to as you will want to use that same server on your streaming device.
As of this review, TorBox has 85 integrations available for their service! You can find these integrations within your account by going to Settings/Integrations/All Integrations/View Integrations.
Most TROYPOINT fans will use the Stremio & Kodi integrations and I provide two setup videos below for those applications. A few other popular apps that they integrate with are Syncler and Weyd.
Due to the new nature of TorBox there are many Kodi addons and APKs that still don’t provide an integration for the service but that will change as the popularity of this service increases. The two most popular Kodi addons that TorBox currently works with are POV and Umbrella. I show how to configure both of these addons in the video below.
Stremio has become the most popular application among TROYPOINT fans and rightfully so. Stremio offers a nice looking user interface without ads and they’re continually improving with timely updates.

Both of the negatives above will improve as they increase their customer base.
TorBox is definitely going to make a positive impression on most users with their low prices, no-logs policy, and ability to share accounts with friends and family. Remember, their biggest competitor Real-Debrid maintains user logs for a maximum of 1 year (per French law) and will share your information if presented with a subpoena. As outlined above, Real-Debrid has threatened a user that they will indeed turn over these logs to copyright holders. Again, this is why we always stress the importance of protecting yourself with Surfshark VPN when using these services that we know little about. Also, take the time to create a Coinbase account so you can pay with Bitcoin for a more private transaction. If you’re not going to use Coinbase be sure to pay with PayPal or one of the other 3rd party payment systems. Don’t input a credit card into their website.
TorBox currently offers integrations with 85 apps/services and that will continue to grow. TorBox even has its own Stremio Addon but we find that the others we configure in the above tutorial work better. We will create a tutorial soon for those who want to use their official addon. The biggest difference is that Premiumize has more cached files on their server and this is due to them being in this game longer than TorBox. They have more users therefore they will have more cached files on their servers. The reason cached files are important is because playback will happen quicker since those movies/TV shows are already residing on the server. When you go to play an un-cached file a portion must first download to the debrid server before playback begins on your streaming device.
I’m excited to see how TorBox evolves in the future and I hope additional Kodi addons and APKs provide an integration for their service.
